Overview

Azimuth is seeking an experienced intermediate to senior contaminant hydrogeologist or environmental engineer with strong technical, leadership, communication, and business development skills who is eager to champion this discipline in our organization. We are seeking a qualified person with strong technical knowledge in contaminant hydrogeology, and proven business development and communications capabilities. This individual should be a team focused practitioner with the maturity to successfully lead and develop the corporation’s practice in this discipline.

Your Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • preparation of technically accurate correspondence, project scope and cost proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications as a Qualified Person;
  • project management and execution of environmental site assessments and remediation programs, including the development and maintenance of project scopes, schedules and budgets, and coordination of staff;
  • intimate understanding of environmental regulations to successfully meet the client’s requirements;
  • technical reviewer for discipline works;
  • expert for contaminant hydrogeology on multi-disciplinary projects;
  • aid in identifying markets and potential clients and attend industry events as a technical resource to further business development;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, from an accredited institution, plus appropriate continuing education in contaminant hydrogeology or ground water engineering;
  • registered professional practitioner in Ontario (e.g. P.Eng., P.Geo.);
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in contaminant hydrogeology work;
  • established QP under MECP designation;
  • solid understanding of the regulatory requirements in Ontario;
  • ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner;
  • accomplished technical editor and critical reviewer;
  • supervisory, project management, and client management experience required; and
  • demonstrated capability to train, mentor and develop junior and intermediate staff.
