Azimuth Environmental Consulting, Inc. is an employee-owned environmental consulting firm with over 25 staff specializing in the fields of ecology, hydrogeology, site servicing, and contaminant assessment. We have offered our professional services to clients throughout Ontario since 1995. Many of our team members have been employed with the firm for the majority of their professional careers, including most of our senior managers.

Your Challenge

Azimuth has an opening for an intermediate Hydrogeologist/Engineer with strong technical and communication skills. We are seeking a team member with experience in hydrogeological assessments, private site servicing, and/or environmental site assessments. The selected candidate will have strong technical reporting skills, commitment to detailed review of all output, and will contribute to a positive team environment.

Your Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Preparation of technically accurate, concise, and well written proposals and reports;
Project coordination and execution of investigative programs, including some in-field presence;
Flexibility in supporting multiple disciplines, and interest in learning new areas of practice;
Mentorship of junior staff, and ability to be mentored by senior personnel for career growth;

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution;
Registered practitioner in Ontario (P.Geo. or P.Eng.), or eligibility to obtain such a designation;
Relevant experience of 4-6+ years in hydrogeological assessments supporting land development, private site servicing design, and/or environmental site assessments. Candidates with experience solely in one or two of these disciplines will be considered if they are interested in expanding their knowledge base;
Must be able to demonstrate strong technical report writing abilities and attention to detail;
An understanding of applicable environmental regulations and guidelines, including OWRA, MECP design guidelines for drinking water & sewage, Conservation Authority and municipal water balance guidelines, Ontario Regulation 153/04, D-4 guideline, and/or Ontario Regulation 406/19 are all considered assets for this position.
